The Gunners midfielder suffered an ankle injury in last week’s 2-1 friendly defeat to Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said after the game. Partey’s condition did not look good and the north London club have recently updated his fitness.
Arsenal said in a statement: “Thomas injured his right ankle during a friendly game against Chelsea on Sunday.”
“Thomas is still being evaluated. and is expected to return to practice in about three weeks.”
Of course, he will miss the Gunners’ opening game of the season away to Brentford next Friday, and then will not be available against Chelsea and then a trip to Manchester City at the A. Tihad Stadium on August 28 as well.
